IT’S A MYSTERY TO ME by Anthony A. Gonzalez

I guess it’s a mystery to me too. But I like it! Interesting composition, and I like her shirt peeking open. Looks very natural to me… And with those fabulous colors, I’ll tell myself she is a very exotic girl with an interesting gypsy life…

ALICIA by Mary Maxam and APPLE WITH LEAVES by Michael Naples

Today, I am feeling soothed by these soft and lovely colors. Apparently Mary used an old technique called open grisaille to achieve this effect. Read more about it on her blog, http://www.marymaxam.blogspot.com/

And as you may know, apples are my favorite fruit… and this one is perfection!! Man, I bet if I bit into it, it would be just as crisp as it looks! For more paintings from Michael, go to

Ps. James Coulter has posted another Great truck today!!

JEALOUSY IN BLACK by Rita Kirkman

What a beauty! Both the girl and the painting! I love the lacy ruffles of her blue-black dress, and that painterly background is superb! And what’s that in her hand?! How exciting!
