OLD GREEN GARDEN DOOR by Justin Clements

I can imagine that this scene is in the south of France or Italian countryside! It speaks of ancient beauty to me. The colors really lent themselves to looking somehow fresh and lovely while the creamy grays of the building make me think that this building has been around a long, long time!

  1. I love this! It reminds me of some of the doorways in Provence. I took many pictures of them when I was there. I’d like to do a show of just doors.
    Thanks for sharing! love it!

  2. I really like this painting…not sure why…but the minute I saw it, I was like, Hmm, I like this!
I’m not a very artsy person so it always surprises me to see when I have a reaction at a drawing or painting. Maybe I am learning, little by little, to have more of an appreciation. If so, it’s thanks to you! 🙂

    • Wow Sharon! What an encouraging comment! I have been blessed to grow up around art. However, I continue to learn and develop a critical eye because as an adult, I now make my living selling my father’s work! May I recommend that you subscribe to his daily painting blog? You can go to http://www.afarnsworthaday.com and subscribe from there. I would be soooo honored if you eventually found a little painting you couldn’t live without! And they start at just $200… If you do end up buying an original work of art- from him or from anyone- I hope that you’ll share the joy of your purchase with me!!!

  3. Oh emerald items makes me very happy right now. Your blog is great, Rosa! I don’t know a ton about art, so I’m looking forward to learning a little bit.
