MALE CARDINAL by Andy Smith

My Grandpa has always been a bird lover. He takes such delight in recognizing their little selves and their songs. But the bird that always reminds me of him is the Cardinal. This sweet painting caught my eye because it made me think of my Grandpa. But it held my attention because the of composition and painting style. This bird is looking right into my eyes, and that snowy background is amazing! What a lovely painting!

  1. I saw a cardinal in my yard one spring… a rare thing and I wanted to photograph it but by the time I got the camera, it had flown away… It was the brightest shade of orange red… so beautiful. Just like this one.
